Dust proof storage rooms are lined in a protective material that keeps dust out whilst offering a layer of insulative protection. Rooms are fully sealed to create an independent space within the attic. Roof window options allow for natural light into the room as well as providing extra ventilation. Typically installed within 3-5 days.
This is probably the most important question to ask yourselves when considering the space in your attic. If you have are able to safely do so then we suggest having a quick look into your attic to gain an understanding of head height and general space.
If you cannot comfortably stand up within the roof, then an Attic Room may not be suitable for your house. However our basic and dust proof storage options can go in almost any space – truss roofs included! We can also work around air-con ducting (or organise a technician to quote on relocating this to create more space). We work closely with qualified air conditioning technicians to ensure that we can find a solution to relocate and/or reposition air con elements to enable your room to be functional.
Basic storage is generally completed within a day or two. Dust proof storage rooms tend to take between three to five days depending on size and our Attic Rooms can take between 3-5 weeks. Every home is different, but we can usually give a good estimate on timing at the first enquiry stage.
Costs can vary depending on the space you wish to utilise in your attic, along with the purpose (for example, just to throw some boxes up into the space or have a kids videogame room).
Most of our rooms are costed on a transparent square metre pricing structure so there are no hidden costs. A truss roof attracts a slightly higher rate, but we will advise of this right from the start.
Typically a ladder and 10m2 of basic flooring starts from as little as $2,499 + GST.
Attic Rooms are a little more bespoke and are quoted on a project-by-project basis.
Basic and Dust Proof rooms are accessed via one of our excellent attic ladders. We can work with you to find the best location for your home as well as the ladder that best suits your needs and budget. The right ladder for you will depend on the height of your ceiling and how often you wish to use the space.
Our Attic Rooms can be accessed by a fixed staircase if you have the room. Alternatively, these can still be accessed via an attic ladder (a fully electric attic ladder is also another option!).
We can handle the process of installing lighting and power in the attic, if required. We can ensure the work is completed at the same time as your storage/room to minimise disruption.
