Do You Need Council Approval for an Attic Conversion?
Basically, if you wish to create a classified habitable space or make any roof alterations, it is likely that you will require council approval.
This process can be supported by AtticPlus via our Build Planning Consultant or our clients can apply for council approval themselves.
There are cases where you don’t need to worry about council approval. These include instances where you do not need to classify the space as habitual and you are happy to keep your attic conversion under the profile of the existing roof.
